We provide free consultation by either:
- sending us a pic of your wedding gown, or even better, a pic of you in the wedding gown to our email or text message our phone. We would advise/suggest/recommend on alteration options.
- booking an appointment for a consultation to come in person. This free consultation lasts for 15-30 minutes.
We extend our services to all members of the bridal group. We love to work with mother of bride/groom, bridesmaids, prom-goers etc..
Please contact us with specific needs for more accurate estimates.
This is not a guaranteed service especially during the peak season. Please feel free to contact us at any time. However, there will be a tiny bit rush fee.
Q. How long will it take to have the bridal gown back for the wedding?
A. During peak season, we would suggest that brides contact us 4 months before the wedding. For example, if your wedding is in August, preferably you contact us in April to book for appointments in May. Booking early will secure the best day and time especially during the peak season. Usually, we complete and return the gowns to brides 2-3 weeks before the wedding
Q. For a wedding gown alterations, how many trips/appointments needed ?
A. Generally, brides will need 3 trips ( 1st fitting, 2nd fitting and then the final/pick up). However, there are times, the gowns are perfect on your 2nd trip, and other times, we might need further minor adjustments.
Q. For a formal/occasion dress, how long will it take?
A. It will take 3-4 weeks, depending on complexity of alterations, and workloads.
Q. Can a big size gown, be reduced to few sizes down?
A. Most of the time yes, but this is a lot of work. It varies from style to style. This would mean unstitch all seams and reduce it smaller proportionately. We understand that buying off the rack could save time as well as hitting a good deal. Remember the more complex alterations the more costs on alterations.
However, I recommend consult the experienced seamstresses before completing the purchase.
Q. Can a small size gown, be expanded to a few sizes up?
A. This is possible by changing to corset lace, adding gussets, extend with matching fabrics. The flexibility is more when we reduce the sizes than increase the sizes. We would be VERY careful if it is a fitted skirt.
Again, I recommend consult the experienced seamstresses before completing the purchase.
Q. Is there a rush service?
A. There is a rush fee if you would like to complete it within 3-7 days. We would be very careful in consideration during peak season.
Q. What to bring on our 1st fitting?
A. PLease bring with you the shoes, any undergarment that you will wear on the day of and ... of course your dress. We do have bra cup inserts if you prefer these over your own bras.
